Local husband and wife team David Ross and Merrilee Paul, of 50 Local and Owen’s Farmhouse, invite you to dine with them at their latest venture, Abbondante. Abbondante’s menu is true to its name, offering generous portions of thoughtful Italian preparations. Fresh, homemade pasta is prepared daily for family favorite dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli with ricotta filling, and bruschetta. Pizzas cooked in the wood-burning oven include classics, pizza margherita with tomato, basil, mozzarella and extra virgin olive oil, as well as the more imaginative, such as pizza caprichosa with prosciutto, olives, egg, and mushrooms. The menu is rounded out with comfort specialties like eggplant and chicken parmesan and lasagna.

Originally an old barn, the building Abbondante resides in now exudes comfort with richly painted walls, cozy bistro seating and an expansive stone fireplace. With a long communal table spanning the restaurant, the social atmosphere is further enhanced with an ornate bar serving handcrafted cocktails, New England artisanal beers and an all Italian wine list. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outside terrace, as are seasonal Happy Hour and dinner specials. Patrons can also order anything off the menu for take out, including Family Takeout Specials, created to make family dining easy.
